earrings for Azzurra 2

This is one earring of the second pair of earrings I designed for my friend Azzurra, with the beads she gave me.
I worked very hard to find a satisfying solution for the read irregular coral beads.
But I think she will like this!
Some technical information: As we are working with thread and this is not stiff, I needed some technique to make it stay. So I used a bit thicker wire, which I took double around, and knottet around it to create the inner ring of the outer round. So this holds good.
The inner ring is surrounded by a maltese ring, whereby the inner beads are the center ring of the maltese ring. This holds good.
The upper piece with the earring finding is also partially worked on the same wire, but not taken double. Here the wire goes from the side through the red beads and the to the other side.

It's very pretty! I love what you've done with the irregular beads. I have wanted to try to use some of my rock chip beads in my tatting to see if they would look good. This gives me a little encouragement to try.

The earring is GORGEOUS! Really, really lovely. If you ever decide to sell a pair, I will rush to be first in line.

Indeed your friend WILL like these gorgeous earrings!!! Just magnificent! Your work is fabulous!

I somehow missed seeing your tutorials in April about your other spectacular earrings. I have to admit I'd have to put my 'heavy thinking' cap on to make them, but that's my own problem - not yours! You have taken the time to show every detail. It is most appreciated, and I see that others have successfully copied them.

I very much admire your ability to design so many beautiful things, and it's so wonderful that you're blogging again!
