Cluny triangle

This is a doily made of 6 triangles. The positive side of triangles is that they can be combined in many ways: you can make hexagons, stars, edgings, and so on. The negative side is that the pieces are small and you have at least two thread ends to hide. But perhaps it is worth the effort, what do you think?

It is very beautiful! Is there a way to tat it such a way that one of the end rings can be a split ring and you can climb into another triange without cutting and tying?

Iris, the triangel doily motif is really nice. Pretty soon you will be the Cluny Queen. I am also doing clunies or tallies...I am working on my Bedfordshire Bobbin lace edging. I haven't touched that pillow in awhile so I am getting some enjoyment out of it. Nice and relaxing.

Absolutely lovely! The triangle motifs look very useful and combine so nicely. The clunies make it stunning.

I love it. Not sure I would want to tat that many clunies myself but as a special project and as a challenge, I might.

I found this wonderful piece through a comment made on my blog by Carla: http://chiacchierinodellanonna.blogspot.com/. I love clunies and am working on perfecting them; I am a long way from that!

I could not find this pattern on your blog. Is it available? Fox : )
