This is another edging for the new book. I like it so much and started a piece in black. I cannot stop it, because I like to work it in black. So while I'm progressing with it, it is already half meter long, I'm thinking about what to do with it. Where can I put a black edging on? Please help me!

I cannot wait to see your new books! I am a big fan of your designs and it makes me so happy to see your work again on the blog.
That edge would look nice on the bottom of a denim skirt perhaps...or around the bottom of a jacket?
I think tatting in black thread looks very sophisticated, and this one looks beautiful. What to use it for? Well in the past I've used black tatting on the collar of a white blouse. Or how about on the bottom of a skirt.
Nice edging!
I also think it would look nice on denim - either on a skirt or pants, especially capris :-)
I love to tat in black too. I recently used a small edging on a lavender sachet (like this : http://www.flickr.com/photos/kajin/4314670454/ ). Since yours is a little bigger, it might also be nice on a bag or a cushion.
It would look pretty on a mantilla or decorating the neckline of a blouse -- maybe a gray silk.
I would put that lovely edging on a special jacket or bag... something reserved for special occasions!
beautiful edging. maybe on the collar of a blouse or just under the neck binding of a sweat shirt type or a regular sweater.
SO pretty. Wear it so you can show it off. The edge of a tshirt, on a dress or skirt or on a lightweight jacket. Don't hide it - flaunt it.
It's a very beautiful edging, I am anxiously waiting for your book too! A hanky edging takes about 40 inches to go all the way around, and I think that you should hunt for a vintage black silk scarf or handkerchief and keep going until you have enough for that. Then you can display it elegantly when you go out at night!
Ooh your new book(s?) will be marvelous, with the butterfly edging and the black edging!
Please consider this comment my "pre-order" -- I must have a copy of whatever book or books in which these edging appear.
Anywhere! It's gorgeous!
Fox : ))
Against everybody else I would wear it as a necklace. But this is just because I love tatted jewelry. Fantastic pattern!
The edging is lovely and I also think on the edge of a skirt or jacket.
Stunning design, really classy looking.
I can envision this lovely edging sewn on a deep red, short-sleeve 'dressy' jersey top, that has a scoop neck. A dressy black skirt or slacks and black lace shawl or black jacket would complete the outfit! I also can see it as a necklace, to wear with many different outfits!
So nice to see you designing again!
Wow.. that is just beautiful. I love black lace, and this is wonderful!! Can't wait to see what else you have coming.
Black is so elegant, it would look great on a scarf, they you can wear with anything. It's Beautiful!
That's another of your very beautiful creations.
Lovely.
Thank you all so much for your comments and very usefull suggestions. I tried it out on all sort of garments I have, but most are too old, color not matching, neckline not matching. So perhaps I will put it on a bag...I have to sew! I thought of a bag for the bathroom to put little guest towels in. Perhaps my friend Patrizia will help me to sew it. I tried out the lace taking the thread double to use it for a necklace and I think it is good. I hope to be able to show you soon the results!

You've probably long since used this lovely edging on something, but I envision it across the top of a simple nightgown...like a yoke. Of course it could be a summer top too, but something about a black lace nightie captures my eye.... :-) LOVELY!
