Mistery solved

Dear friends,
I solved the mistery. The flower with rings on both sides is worked open, with a third thread inside. Please correct me, if I'm wrong, but I think this technique is called pearl tatting. Then I carried all the threads inside the stem, working non flipped ds. The leaves are Maltese rings with inner rings.

I agree with you, if you work pearl tatting open you need three threads...

OK, I tried it, and now I see why you can't throw rings off both sides of a Maltese Ring. Duh. I'm glad you figured it out. The result is spectacular.

I feel honored about your demand of an online lesson for this flower.
I would really like to do it.
