traditional tatting

Dear tatting friends,
While I was attending my exhibition in Matera, i looked in my little notebook and found this design I made in the airplane, when I travelled to Japan. This was one of the samples for the design class. So I worked it out and show you here the result. It fits also a bit Sharons challenge. What do you think?
The doily is composed of seven hexagons and did not fit in the scanner. I made it with size 20 thread in cream.

Iris, I have drawn out a few things using the methods you taught last year. But non of it can compare to the spectacular pieces you do! So amazing!

Iris, such a piece! It is so delicate and; well, lacy! And yes, I can see Sharon's challenge in that piece. I always enjoy looking at your work; it is incomparable!

Iris this is absolutely gorgeous. Fitting that you tatted it in cream thread as it looks positively yummy!

OMGoodness, Iris, that is one of the most beautiful tatting designs I have ever seen. I am not kidding. I'm absolutely head over heels in love with this design! I love the clunies (one of my favorite things in tatting), the josephine knots, the thrown rings...everything. It's absolutely exqusite. I hope I would have the pattern to tat it someday.

Hello Iris,
this is beautiful, it reminds me of quill work thanks for the lace and the diagram.

How did I miss this one! Loveliest piece of tatting I've ever seen. Filigree lace - that is how I would describe this.
